A Leading DWI Defense Firm with over half a century of experience

Wisner & Wisner LLP, The DWI Defense Attorneys, have a law practice devoted solely to representing the citizen accused of Alcohol Influenced Operating Offenses. We limit our law practice to DWI Defense, Vehicular Crimes, and Appellate Advocacy. Our law firm is based in Rochester, NY, however we handle cases in Buffalo, Syracuse and the surrounding communities. Together, our team of lawyers have sixty-five years of trial experience, including the former chief trial attorney overseeing felony prosecutors in Monroe County and subsequently becoming a Supreme Court Justice, a second former felony prosecutor, and is arguably one of the most experienced DWI defense teams in New York State. While some law firms like to suggest that they have more experience by including the tenure of secretaries and staff, at Wisner & Wisner, LLP we do not.

Honoroable Donald J. Wisner, New York State Supreme Court (Ret.) has served as lawyer, Chief Trial Prosecutor, County Court Judge, New York Supreme Court Justice and New York State Supreme Court Appellate Justice. His forty-five years of criminal trial experience is extensive when compared to any private lawyer in Western New York. Judge Wisner has also been the trial lawyer, trial judge or appellate judge in over one hundred reported New York DWI cases. Many of his DWI decisions have become binding on Supreme, County and lower trial courts throughout New York State. Few law departments anywhere have access to a former Supreme Court Trial Justice or Supreme Court Appellate Justice to work on suppression and appellate issues. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense at Harvard Law School and was recognized by SuperLawyers Upstate New York in DWI law.
